Kickapoo

The Kickapoo originally lived around Lake Michigan and in parts of Wisconsin. They later moved to parts of Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Mexico. The name Kickapoo comes from the word Kiwigapawa, which means 'Stands Here and There'. They lived in domed bark and/or thatch houses. They spoke a language very similiar to the language spoken by the Shawnee.
